CARES Foundation Extends Outreach to Ayere Community

This year’s edition of the Ayere Day will go down in memory as one of the best in recent time as the day set aside to celebrate the oneness, culture, unity and togetherness of the good people of the ancient community lived up to the bill.
On ground to celebrate with her people was the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon Mrs Bolanle Amupitan, the CEO and founder of CARES Foundation. With her was a team of experts from AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) to offer free HIV test and counseling, free medical consultation and treatment to children, pregnant women and people living with HIV.
After the the good will messages and donations from the special guest of the day, Mrs Rukayat Ashiru, the wife of the Commissioner for finance, on behalf of herself and the husband, Mrs Bolanle Amupitan launched the first phase of an expanded empowerment programme, on behalf of the CARES Foundation with two hundred thousand naira(#200,00:00). The sum will assist ten women with twenty thousand Naira each to support their cassava/garri businesses.
“Our women are industrious, they should be encouraged always to stand, no capital is too small for a woman to turn over as it is in us to multiply things,” Amupitan said.
She assured others that the Foundation will regularly come around to select new set of beneficiaries.
The Alayere of Ayere, HRH Oba S.A Olubi (JP), appreciated Hon Bolanle Amupitan, the CARES foundation and partner, AHF, for making the day a memorable one. He prayed for God protection and blessings to all who have a hand in the development of Ayere Community.
Women and children went home with mosquito nets, sanitary towels and food supplements donated by the foundation.
It will be recalled that the Foundation on Tuesday the 16th of October in Mopa donated two mechanical boreholes with two power generating sets, trained thirty women across Yagba land in vocational skills with start up capitals and provided school bags, uniforms and writing materials for school pupils in Mopamuro local government public school.
