The Labour Party in Lokoja on Tuesday endorsed the Lokoja 1 Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hon. Henry Francis Folaranmi.
The meeting which was at the behest of the prominent and successful businessman, Chief Felix, owner of the famous FEN Hotel, had in attendance the Labour Party stakeholders in the Kogi State led by Elder Akerele, members of the State and Local Government Executive led by Comrade Abdulkadir Osori, Pastor Henry Babagbemi a member of the Labour Party PCC and Coordinators of of 67 Obidient Support Groups led by Hon. Blessings Martins.
Chief Felix, while addressing the OBIDIENTS, said they have come to conclusion to collapse their structures and work to deliver Lokoja 1 State Constituency for Hon. Henry Francis because he has shown the passion, courage and a realistic plan to make impact that will further help in the development of the community.
“I want to urge us all to reactivate all the machineries that were used in the February 25th election for the NNPP candidate.
“What we need now is capable young minds to occupy elective positions. Young, vibrant and result oriented men that are accessible not those anointed by political Godfathers,” he said.
Several speakers applauded the synergy and promised to deliver on Saturday, March 11.
The Lokoja Local Government Chairman of NNPP, Hon. Alhaji Alhaji thanked the leadership of the Labour Party for collapsing their structure to support the NNPP candidate.
“The Labour Party leadership have shown that they are more interested in good governance than pecuniary gains,” he said.
