The 3rd Kogi Building Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions, the annual event of the BEBM Exhibitions is scheduled to hold between 17th – 20th of October in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to a press release by the media consultant to the Exhibition, Yabagi Umar, the theme of the event is; Indigenous Building Materials: An Alternative Approach to Housing Shortage in a Recessed Economy.
He said the event is a sure gathering of tradesmen and professionals in the built environment, manufacturing and supply of building materials to include government, private practitioners and the policy makers in the industry.
“This year’s edition of the exhibition promises to be more educating as manufacturers of construction materials and service providers relating to Built Environment Industry have be invited for expository discussions on their product beside over hundred companies billed to showcase new materials and technology.
“The event shall be declared open by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello. Immediately after the opening ceremony, a private initiative model for ‘Lokoja River Port’ project shall be presented.
“Some professionals in the Built Environment Industry shall also be awarded for their various contributions to the industry. The ‘Face of the Exhibition, Chief Edward Onoja, who is the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor and Chief Gabriel Aduku, one of the foremost Architects from Kogi State would be welcoming guests to the ceremony.
“The 2017 edition of the exhibition is well packaged. A special day will be hosted by Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) to discuss new locally produced construction materials. An Electricity Dialogue Forum intended to serve as a platform interaction for users and operators of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and a Tax Compliance Day shall hold in the third day.
“The industrial giant, Dangote Cement will on the fourth day convene a forum on the use of its cement, particularly for the construction of concrete roads in Nigeria,” he said.
The exhibition will hold at the premises of the Children Amusement Park, Lokoja, Kogi State.
