Ecofair: Barr Jatto Charge Stakeholders On Efficient Ecological Projects

Relevant stakeholders on ecological and environmental control have been charged to be committed to work towards ensuring a habitable environment.

Special Adviser to Kogi state Governor on Environment and Physical Development, Barrister Ladi Ahmed Jatto who stated this at the Northern Stakeholders Forum Eco-Fair in Lokoja noted that desertification, droughts, flooding, erosion and waste management are major challenges of environment.

She said the conference with the theme “Effective Partnership Towards Sustainable Management of Ecological Projects” was coming at a perfect time, as it will bring about practical and effective strategies for proper management of ecological problems in the country.

“It is no doubt that this conference will help to solve ecological challenges especially now that humanity is facing one of its biggest challenges; global warming and climate change,” Jatto said.

She added that “the crusade for a more efficient management of our ecological project is definitely one that deserves the attention and commitment of all stakeholders, who are concerned about building a better world for ourselves and generations to come.”

The two day Northern Stakeholders Forum Eco-Fair on Ecology will end today in Lokoja.
