According to Usman Austin Okai’s wife, Fedoje, her husband was picked up from his house in Abuja on February 22, 2019 by 8 unknown gunmen who told her they were there on the orders of the Kogi State Governor.

‘He had stepped out of the house, and was meant to come back and leave for Kogi. I was in the bathroom when I heard “I’ll shoot you, I’ll shoot you”. I peeped, and saw some men in black pointing guns at my husband. I quickly ran into the bedroom, covered my body and rushed out. I asked who they were, and they said they were there to pick him up on the orders of the Kogi State Governor. I asked for an arrest warrant and was told that who am I to ask for one. I told them I am his wife, and I have a right to know where he’s being taken. They told me they were taking him to the NIA office, and that I can follow them if I want. By the time we brought the car outside to follow them, they had disappeared. It’s over 24 hours, and I have no idea where he was taken.’
When we spoke on Tuesday, she told me she got information he was at the DSS Office in Lokoja.
So imagine my shock when I started reading a statement shared by Kogi Government Aides and Social Media workers yesterday (Thursday) that Okai ran away with PDP money, and he’s holed up in a hotel in Abuja with a woman.
Why are Kogi Government people the ones sharing such information?
I am truly hoping they haven’t harmed Usman Austin Okai, thus this narrative being shared by the likes of Onoja Alh. Danjuma, Promise Emmanuel and many Government Aides/workers.
Where is Usman Austin Okai? Charge him to court if he has committed an offense. It’s 7 days since he was picked up according to his wife.
