Have you ever wondered what the true meaning of August Visitor is? And how it ever came to existence? Or you’re like me that had always referred to unexpected guests as August visitors(either they are really welcomed or not) ? Or you’re one of those people that think it means visitors received at the month of August?

The term ‘August Visitor’ is usually used to describe the visit of a highly dignified or important person or an unexpected visitor with unusual importance and influence. You see “AUGUST” does not go with everybody, but everybody can chose to identify with AUGUST. August means Distinguished, Respected, Celebrated, Esteemed, Highly Regarded, Well Thought of, Impressive, Majestic, Lordly, Kingly, Royal, Of High Standing, etc.

When we say a person is an August visitor, it means different things to alot of us and some of the most common situations we use it are: one, when the visitor comes without any prior notice; two, when it’s been long that person visited and three, when the person visits in the month of August. Now when this AUGUST VISITORS arrive, they change the Atmosphere. People around the locality follow their trail to know whose house they are going to as Visitors.

August visitor simple means distinguished, highly regarded and respected visitor. The month August was named after Augustus Caeser who was an important and regal person. In Europe, August is the peak of the summer season and is referred to as the most comfortable month of hospitality for them. Therefore, when anyone is referred to as an August visitor, the person is highly esteemed and would be received in the most hospitable way possible. As a visitor when your host gives you the August welcome, it already shows that your reception to the house will be filled with warmth.

The society and even by individual perspective, each and everyone have a particular status they occupy. For the society there is the bourgeoise, the individuals who are at the upper echelon in our social structure and there is the lumpens, a group of people referred to as the ills of the society and the lowest occupants on our social seat. Notwithstanding the treatment expected to be administered to these persons based on their class in the society, individual hosts can decide to welcome any visitor based on the status that person holds on a personal basis. It could be based on an encounter or relationship built overtime. At the end of the day, it all boils down to the status held, whether it is based on societal class or individual respect.

You’ll agree with me that some visitors actually don’t fall under this category, we experience different things and come across different kind of people as well. I’m certain some are aware of the true meaning for a while now and I’m also sure some are just getting aware!
