#KogiDecides: Association Wants Faleke to be Declared Kogi Gov-Elect

National Association of Traditional Medicine Practitioners in Kogi State has called on relevant authorities to declare Hon. James Faleke as the Governor – Elect of the State.

The Publicity Secretary of the association, Chief Olukore Okono disclosed this while addressing pressmen in Lokoja yesterday, according to him; Hon. Aboidun Faleke participated in all the stages of the election hence he should be declared the Governor – Elect.

He said it is regrettably to have loss a great leader, mentor, a political juggernaut and father of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu at a critical time like this his service to the state is require most, praying that God Almighty will grant him eternal rest.

Chief Olukore said instead of mourning the great leader the party is busy fighting on who get what, noting that it would be very hard to fill the vacuum he left behind.

He described late Abubakar Audu as a man of style and quality who will always want the best for the state and that the only way to immortalize the late leader and keep his legacies is to allow his running mate, Hon. James Faleke who campaign round the state with him and also have a joint ticket to contest should be allow to step into
his shoes.

He said since he is the only surviving candidate that work for the 240, 000 votes garnered on the November 21st, then he believe morally and legally Faleke should be allowed to carry on the struggle to rescue the state from underdevelopment its current facing.

Olukore said Faleke is a God sent that came to liberate the people of the state, noting that he has add value to politicking in the state especially in Kogi West Senatorial where he was able to deliver almost 90percent of the votes to the APC, winning Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area that has always been the strong hold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) since 1999.

He said Faleke style of leadership will go a long way to reposition the state on the path of rapid development, stressing that imposing another person that was not part of the game is not right and may not help the party in the nearest future in the state.

He urged the authorities to make a u-turn and do the right thing and not to set Kogi State on fire.
