The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has appointed an elder statesman from Kogi state, Arc. Gabriel Aduku as its new chairman.
The appointment was confirmed Wednesday by the National Executive Council of the ACF at its National Headquarters, in Kaduna.
The Secretary, ACF Leadership Selection Committee, Mallam Bukar Zarma confirmed this to newsmen after its meeting.
Aduku, a former Minister of State for Health, will lead the Forum for the next three years.
He took over the leadership of the Forum from Audu Ogbe whose tenure had come to an end.
However, the current Secretary General of the ACF, Murtala Aliyu retains his position.
Aduku holds the traditional title of Amana Ogohi 1, Ata Igala of the Igala kingdom.
