Socio-political organization known as APC Youth Parliament has described the Special Adviser to the governor of Kogi State on Sustainable Development Goals, Architect Abdulmuminu Okara as a true humanitarian and an icon of the new direction government of governor Yahaya Bello.
The organization made the statement while conferring an award of Excellence on the Special Adviser in his office today.
The Speaker of the parliament Hon. Muhammed Abubakar said the award was in recognition of Arc Okara’s humanitarian and selfless service to the youths of Kogi State and for distinguishing himself as an Icon of the New Direction government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Abubakar said the APC parliament have discovered competence, honesty, openness and transparency in Arc OKARA and great zeal to ensure that the present administration succeeds.
Responding to newsmen, Arc Okara said he was surprised that the Parliamentarians recognized his little effort and deemed him fit for the award. While thanking the group for the award conferred on him, Okara urged the parliamentarians and Kogi youths in general to make the best out of their times and to continue to support the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Describing Yahaya Bello as a non-religious and detribalized leader while urging the public to unite against poverty and underdevelopment by giving maximum support and cooperation to the present administration, Okara told the youth that all the projects embarked upon by the current government cut across the three Senatorial Districts and are evenly spread.
He urged the youths as agent of change to do away with thuggery, ethnicity and politics of bitterness.
