It is now incontrovertible that to redeem Kogi State it must be rescued from inept, callous and rudderless leadership. A chronicle of rulers since 2003 is a tale of unfulfilled aspirations despite the abundant endowment in the state.

Sixteen years of People’s Democratic Party in Kogi State are years of locust and cankerworm which propelled Kogites to vote for change. Almost two years down the line, Kogites like the Israelites desire to return to Egypt because they fared better despite the destruction the locusts wrought. The ineptitude that reduced governance to trial and error from 2003 to 2016 has worsened to a pitiable level where a supposed digital administration is on a direction to nothing.

If PDP paid salaries and pensions in fractions and the people groaned, 2016 till date under APC in the State made nonpayment for up to I8 months the norm with the anguish and pain of Kogites sadly enhanced.

If  PDP’s inability can be excused on the shortfall in take home from Abuja every month, the same cannot be said of an APC government that has been lucky to receive from Abuja what no other government in the history of Kogi State since creation has received.

Due to lack of ideology, the difference between PDP and APC is that of six and half of a dozen.

Apart from Late Prince Abubakar Audu, May Allah grant his soul repose, every other administration in Kogi State has been a circle of inept, clueless and focusless rulership.

The situation in Kogi State has changed for the worst because we continue to do things the same way and predictably the results we get remain unaltered.

By every conceivable index, Kogi State is in the dark and the signs are ominous that the darkest time of the night is upon us. It’s gratifying because it signifies the prelude to a Dawn.

As we look forward to the cessation of darkness and the pain accompanying it, we all have another opportunity to witness the break of a glorious Dawn of hope of a harmonious and prosperous Kogi State.

This dream can only be realized if by choice we break away from the past of mediocrity, ineptitude and nepotism in government by leaders who lack the wherewithal in terms of character and intellect to steer the ship of state with sincerity and character.

With old wines in New bottle and new wine in old bottles as we have witnessed in Kogi State, any hope of development will remain a mirage.

Putting new wine in New bottles is the way out and leaving old wine in old bottles is the reasonable path to tow.

Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA), is the golden star that will guide Kogites to the new dawn in Kogi State.

It’s the Ark of Noah that will see Kogi State through the flood to a renaissance that will transform the State from its present pitiable situation to that of prosperity for all.

Kogi State is abundantly endowed with natural resources complemented by a cerebral population but dearth of good leadership has been it’s bane of development.

The umbrella is in tatters unable to shield us from the elements and Kogites are at the mercy of scorching sun and drenching rain while the broom has not been able to sweep the stable clean of rot. The debris is about overwhelming Kogi State and Kogites are helplessly hopeless under  the tyrannical rule of taskmaster foisted on them.

Kogites must wake up and smell the coffee with determination to vote out the callous leaders that have constituted obstacles in the path of Kogi State to greatness.

The Golden Star that will lead Kogi State through the darkness is here and it is Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) with the mantra ‘Stronger together’

APDA is committed to preserving and fostering support for the rights, liberties and aspirations of all Nigerians with equality and without exclusion.

The vision is to create a just, peaceful and democratic Nigeria, free from hunger and premised on freedom and justice.

Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance as a social democratic party is irrevocably and irreversibly committed to curbing inequality, oppression of the underprivileged and poverty in Nigeria.

The party will focus on entrenching universally accessible public services for the elderly, children and the physically challenged. For our level of development, we shall pursue a mixed economy that is private sector driven while ensuring that critical essential services would be operated and delivered by the public sector. APDA pledges to recreate a Kogi State that guarantees all its citizens the right to pursue their aspirations and achieve their full potentials.

Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) stands for an inclusive society based on principles of freedom, equality, solidarity, diversity and fairness. We are committed to fighting for social justice, job creation and economic growth. We shall initiate policies and programmes that will promote consumer rights, sustainable development and financial market reforms so as to create a stronger, more democratic nation and a better future for every Kogite. Its priority is to fight unemployment and ensure that our societies and markets become fairer. We are determined to restore hope and trust of Kogite for and in the future of our state.
