APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary Mourns Former NBC DG, Dr Tom Adaba

Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Dr. Tom Adaba, former Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

In a statement released on the 22nd day of February 2025, Meseko described Adaba as a “distinguished broadcasting professional” and a “true patriot.” He lauded the deceased’s contributions to the development of the Nigerian broadcasting industry, noting that Adaba’s leadership at the NBC left an indelible mark on the sector.

“Dr. Adaba was a man of immense integrity, commitment, and vision. He dedicated his life to the service of our nation and the advancement of broadcasting in Nigeria,” Meseko said. “His legacy will continue to inspire generations of broadcasters and media professionals.”

Meseko also extended his heartfelt condolences to Adaba’s family, friends, and colleagues, praying for them to find solace during this difficult time.

Dr. Tom Adaba served as Director-General of the NBC from 2004 to 2007. He was known for his strong advocacy for professionalism, ethical conduct, and the development of a vibrant and independent media landscape in Nigeria.

His passing is a significant loss to the Nigerian broadcasting industry and the nation as a whole.
