The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has said that he has always been in full support of ideas and actions of his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu.

Governor Bello made this known in the presence of other government officials, participants and beneficiaries of the Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku Youth Empowerment Forum (PAAYEF) program on Tuesday in Lokoja, the state capital.

Bello, during his speech at the occasion monitored by our correspondent, said “…that is to tell you that anything he says, I endorse it 100%,” clearly referring to Asuku, who was sitting at the opposite table and bowing in appreciation of the governor’s remarks.

Through his PAAYE platform, Asuku, who has been acknowledged as the key factor responsible for Yahaya Bello’s second term massive achievements, has continued to empower the people of Kogi State from his private pockets.

His foundation, at the occasion on Tuesday, gave women from all 21 local governments in the state N100,000 each as a business start-up seed, and each of the beneficiaries received a modern sewing machine after being effectively trained in the fashion business by the foundation.

It is believed that the philanthropic gesture of the youngest Chief of Staff in the country will drastically reduce unemployment and improve on the standard of living of the people as the beneficiaries are expected to go and expand their businesses in their various local governments, to fend for their families and employ more people around them.
