The Executive Chairman of Ankpa local government area of Kogi State, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu has described the demise of an elder statesman, Alhaji Ishaka Alfa (Waali) as a sad event.
In a statement signed by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Ismaila Abdullahi, the council chairman said late Alfa was exemplary in royalty.
Abagwu described the late Alhaji Ishaka as a great leader of his people and also an exemplary royal father, adding that his death was painful despite his old age, his wisdom and wealth of experience would be surely be missed.
“Waali gave his all to see that Ankpa is developed and took its pride of place as one of the major cities in Kogi State.
“The news of the death of our father, His Eminence Alh Ishaka Alfa (Waali), came as a shock. His demise at this time is painful, to say the least. His wealth of experience, his immense wisdom, and his commitment to seeing a greater Ankpa and a better Kogi State are unrivaled.
“Ankpa, Kogi East, Kogi State, and humanity at large will miss Waali, who was ever ready to give his all to see a better society.
“On behalf of my family and Ankpa LGA, I commiserate with his immediate family, the entire Ankpa elders, the Central Council Ankpa, and indigenes at home and abroad on the demise of our father,” the statement read.
Alhaji Alfa reportedly passed on in the early hours of Friday in his Enabo country home, Enjema district of Ankpa local government.
