In a bid to boost agricultural services and movement of farm produce to the rural communities, the Executive Chairman Ankpa local government area of Kogi state has flagged off grading and opening up of feeder roads linked to Ankpa Hotel through Qua Iboe/LGEA primary school, Enekpoli and Ejegbo bypass road.
Speaking during the flagging off ceremony in Ankpa, yesterday, he said the grading and opening of the feeder roads is aimed towards easing movement of agricultural produces, persons and motorists to rural areas.
He noted that this work is inline with his administration’s promise to fulfill this kind gesture across the 13 wards of Ankpa LGA; to provide rural infrastructure and social amenities to the citizenry.
“The drainages control against erosion menace will soon be embarked upon to save residents of the communities from erosion disaster. Since the rainy season is fast approaching, proactive measures will be put in place to ensure accessible and comfortable roads for the dwellers,” he said.
