The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim has admonished students to shun exams malpractice, cultism and indiscipline in their academic pursuits.
Abagwu gave the advice at the Glory Land Institute of Management Studies’s 4th matriculation ceremony held at the institution’s main campus in Ankpa on Friday.
“I urge you all, the new and old students, to maintain orderliness inline with the management’s guidelines and make use of this golden opportunity before you in order to attain greater height in your academic pursuit and make us proud. Ensure that you attend classes, shun cultism, exam malpractice or any unlawful behaviors, and focus on why you are here.
“This is a new dawn for all of you today. We have all gathered here for your matriculation ceremony because education sector is of tremendous importance in all levels of governance. This is because the growth of any society is dependent on the level of education of its citizens,” he said.
He commended the management of the school for maintaining high academic standard.
The council chairman commend the efforts put in place by the management of this great academic institution which had enable us again to rejoice with the newly matriculated students of this wonderful institute of management studies which serves as an agent of development in our dear community, Kogi State and Nigeria at Large.
He also charged them to position their self for success, create their own reality and be committed to their dream.”Position yourself for excellence, your success is guaranteed as you study hard and stay focused”. He said.
