Ankpa II: Abdulrahman Picks APC Nomination Form, Pledges to Prioritize Women, Youth Empowerment

One of the leading contenders for the Ankpa II constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahman Idris has picked his expression of interest and nomination forms under the All Progressive Congress Party (APC).

Speaking after picking his forms at the party’s secretariat on Friday, Abdulrahman said as the representative of the people, he will prioritize women empowerment, youth development, strong educational development, good medicare and quality legislation that will strengthen security of lives and properties in Ankpa II and Kogi state.

He said his campaign and eventual mandate will be hinged on the cardinal areas of development carried out by his leader and Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello.

“My aspiration is borne out of deep responsibility to the people, which is also encouraged by the populist political ideology of Governor Yahaya Bello,” he said.

He swore to preserve the ideology of the new direction government of Gov Bello, by putting premium on the people’s welfare while he represents the interest of his constituency at the State Assembly.

He thanked the leaders and the entire members of the APC from Ankpa LG, Ankpa II constituency particularly, adding that “this movement has been your drive from day one and it’s success is entirely your own story.

“Today, as you have encouraged us, I, Idris Abdulrahman Onuche have picked up the expression of interest and nomination forms to represent all of us at the State Assembly.”

He promised to seek for partnership with both foreign and local organisations to commence the necessary development and infrastructure needed In communities of his constituency.

Abdul Rahman promised that Ankpa II will become the envy of other constituencies if given the opportunity to represent them at the state assembly.

“I will always be at the beck and call of his people and will put an end to the era of constituents not gaining access to their representatives,” he said.
