House of Representatives candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ankpa federal constituency in last Saturday elections, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, has dedicated his re-election at the polls to the entire people of the constituency.
In a note of appreciation personally signed by the lawmaker, he said there was “no victor, no vanquished” in the elections.
Halims, who currently represent Ankpa federal constituency in the House of Representatives, noted that while in the euphoria of his declaration, he spent quality time reminiscing about the entire process and came to the conclusion that his victory is for all.
He commended the Rector of the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman and the Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr M. K. Ibrahim for their unsolicited supports and grassroots mobilization.
The lawmaker commended his fellow contestants in other political parties, submitting that they did the federal constituency proud by their indication of interest to serve and peaceful conduct throughout the electioneering process.
While pledging to rededicate himself to the service of the people, Halims stated that his doors are open for all constituents of goodwill to bring in ideas and pathways that can consolidate his efforts
“First of all, I thank Allah SWT for his infinite mercy, grace, protection and guidance in our lives as the political events of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas in the last nine months – forthwith the conclusion of Primary elections clearly showed that we are a people after God’s heart. Neither was there any deliberate violence nor attempted collision among the various political parties and we must give God the glory.
“After weeks of rigorous campaigns and a widely accepted to be peaceful, transparent and credible election, I was formally declared the winner and returned elected by INEC yesterday. While in the euphoria of my declaration, I spent quality time reminiscing about the entire process and I make bold to say my victory is for the entire people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency. Thus, no Victor, no Vanquish.
“I sincerely appreciate the support of all critical stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kogi State under the able Leadership of our indomitable Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Siamese twin who doubles as the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Chief Edward David Onoja towards the success of our Party at the polls.
“Specifically, I want to thank the House of Assembly Members representing Ankpa I and II State Constituencies, Olamaboro and Omala State Constituencies as well as the Executive Chairmen of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas for their field operations in the entire process.
“In the same vein, I sincerely thank our party hierarchies, State Assembly candidates across Ankpa Federal Constituency, the APC Campaign Council, various support groups, party members, Women and the Youths of Ankpa Federal Constituency for their dedication to our course.
