Some yet-to-be identified gunmen have abducted Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Aghamba and his wife in Kogi state.
His aide, simply identified as A.B Affiah, was killed by the assailants.
The Commissioner was reportedly travelling to Abuja alongside his wife to attend the wedding ceremony of Adaora, the daughter of Governor Chukwuma Soludo scheduled for tomorrow Saturday when his vehicle was ambushed by the gunmen in Kogi State.
It will be recalled that Governor Soludo’s daughter had her traditional wedding last week in Soludo’s home town, Isuofia in Aguata Local council area.
Soludo’s daughter, Adaora is married to Mr. Arinze Ibekwe, a native of Onitsha.
The Press Secretary to Governor Soludo Mr. Christian Aburime confirmed the story.
He said efforts are being made to rescue the couple.
