The All Progressives Congress (APC) expanded its frontiers in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi state on Thursday as Comrade Dare Friday Matthew, an entrepreneur and philanthropist led hundreds of his followers into the party fold in Okekoko Ward.
In a tumultuous gathering at the Demonstration Primary School Playfield, Kabba, the APC local government Chairman, Hon. Solomon Jembawondo with other party critical stakeholders welcomed the jubilant and excited defectors.
He implored the decampees to be rest assured of the party’s genuine intention of bringing dividends of democracy to the grassroot, as exemplified by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

“I am glad and proud to associate with the winning team in Okekoko Ward. Governor Ododo has done well in his prompt payment of salary, creating investment- friendly ambience for investors, protection of lives and property and passionately building an assured and sustainable Kogi State,” leader of the defectors said.
The highlight of the occasion was the distribution of food items and cash incentives to the elderly and party faithfuls solely sponsored by Dare Matthew.
The ward leader, Mr. Adebanji David Jimoh, in his goodwill message said “I welcome you all to the largest ward in Kabba-Bunu LGA. We are happy to have you in our party and optimistic that your defection to our party will be a plus for us in the next election. You’re all welcome to the APC family in Okekoko Ward.”
