All is Now Set for 10th Nigerian Post Newspapers Annual Lecture

The 10th edition of the Nigerian Post, Annual Public Lecture with the theme: Kogi A New Era, Challenges and Prospects, would now come up on Thursday, 14th April 2016.

Gov Yahaya Bello, Kogi State Governor is expected as the special guest of honor at the occasion.

The public lecture would hold at the conference hall of the State NUJ at 10:00am, will also attract the representatives of the Governors of Edo State, Adams Oshomhole and that of Nasarawa State, Umar Tanko Almakura.

Highlight of the forthcoming public lecture would be the conferment of the most “Outstanding” award of Excellence on some distinguished Kogites, some organizations and Entrepreneurs who have made their marks in their fields of endeavors.

Dr Tim Nda Diche, politician, businessman, philanthropist and a community developer, wins this years, The Nigerian Post Newspaper man of the year award.

Other award recipients are; Outstanding Lawmakers, Hon Buba Jubril and Hon Friday Makama Sani, based on their impact to their constituencies from 2011-2015.

Organizations like West African ceramics, Delex ventures, Treasure Bakery and Multilife Drinks would be honored for quality product and job creation. Media organizations like the Confluence Cable Network, Kogi reports and Igala arise/City gist magazine are some other nominees for this year’s award.

Council Chairmen of Ogori Magongo, Ajaokuta, Igalamela/ Odolu, Bassa, Lokoja and Yagba East are also nominees for outstanding Chairmen award in the North Central region.

The Nigerian Post Newspaper, circulates within the North Central Region of Nigeria, usually holds annual public lectures where contemporary issues that help shape governance and the society are discussed, normally produces a communique that serves as road map, would this year attract personalities from across States of the federation for this year’s lecture series.
