In a resounding display of solidarity, sons and daughters of the Akuta clan gathered in Okengwe to reaffirm their commitment to peace, communal harmony, and the preservation of their rich cultural heritage.
The meeting, which brought together traditional titleholders, community leaders, and prominent stakeholders, served as a strategic platform to foster brotherhood and address the socio-economic challenges within Ebiraland. Community elders emphasized that maintaining peace and preserving indigenous values are essential for the continuous development of the clan and the broader community.

The meeting commenced with the traditional breaking of kola nut, led by the Clan Paramount Ruler, HRH Alhaji Momohjimoh Ibrahim Ondeku, who offered prayers for the continued peace and progress of Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He also prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom, and protection over the Governor’s administration while seeking enduring unity and prosperity for the Akuta Clan.
HRH Ondeku reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful leadership that promotes harmony within the clan. He urged the youths to uphold good character, patience, mutual respect, and dedication to the collective growth and development of the Akuta people.

The gathering was attended by prominent sons, daughters, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and elders of the clan. Notable attendees included the Akuta Youth President, Hon. Baba Lawal; Comrade Bilal Mewana, the Agada Youth President, Comrade Kashim Ogbojo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairman, Hon. Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu, former Secretary of Okene LG, Hon. John Ochu, HRH Alhaji Isah Mamman Okatahi, Ohi of Okene,HRH Alhaji Abdulkareem Atta Yusuf, Ohi of Okengwe Ehi, and other respected traditional title holders.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu urged clan members to remain united, emphasizing that peace and love are the bedrock of sustainable development.
He also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining the developmental vision of his predecessor, former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
In his remarks, Hon. John Ochu emphasized the importance of continuous unity among members, particularly urging traditional rulers and community leaders to work together in preserving peace within the clan.
In his response, HRH Alhaji Isah Mamman Okatahi praised the enduring peaceful coexistence among members of the Akuta Clan and appealed to all aggrieved individuals to embrace reconciliation in the interest of the clan and the entire Ebira nation.
He equally commended the leadership of HRH Alhaji Momohjimoh Ibrahim Ondeku, encouraging him to sustain his inclusive and peaceful leadership style.
