The Akanmode Dynasty is celebrating one of its most distinguished icons today, as Prince Olusola Akanmode, the Oloriebi of the Akanmode Dynasty, marks his birthday with family members, friends, and well-wishers from across the community.

Prince Akanmode, who is also the Asiwaju of Aiyetoro-Gbedde, has spent more than seven decades building a legacy as a community leader, political leader, and opinion leader whose influence extends well beyond his immediate family and hometown.

A Life of Service and Sacrifice

In a tribute released to mark the occasion, the family described the day not merely as a celebration of the man, but as a celebration of the values he has come to represent: honour, sacrifice, commitment, and impact. Over the years, Prince Akanmode has committed his talent and resources toward individual and community development, both in and out of public office, while consistently championing good governance and equity.

“Today we are not just celebrating you as a person but we are celebrating honour, sacrifice, commitment and impact,” the family said, crediting the elder statesman with using his position to uplift others throughout his career.

Family Gives Thanks to God

The tribute opened with an expression of gratitude to God for sparing Prince Akanmode’s life to witness the milestone. “Seven decades plus of impactful living and still counting,” the family noted, describing the birthday as an occasion to return all honour, glory, and adoration to the giver of life.

Prayers for the Celebrant

As family members, friends, and well-wishers join in the celebration, they have offered prayers for Prince Akanmode’s continued long life, good health, and soundness of mind, declaring that his reward for a life of service will not be lost.

The tribute was signed by Pastor Dayo Akanmode on behalf of the family.
