Foremost students leader, Comrade Ajagun Opeyemi Samuel has commended the commitment of individuals and groups who have donated to the purse of Kogi State COVID-19 squadron committee to fight the intensity and inconvenience caused by the deadly coronavirus.
Speaking with our reporter on Monday, Ajagun hailed the true patriotism of Kogi politicians who have donated relief materials to the people during a “time of sorrow to the nation”.
He described Kogi politicians as great leaders who are doing well at the appropriate time, because according to him, it takes a compassionate leader who genuinely feels the pains of his fellow men to give back to the society at a time everything is stagnant.
Ajagun, popularly known as Okun Boy, said: “I want to say it here that all our leaders who have donated relief materials to ease the inconveniences of our people are the leaders who truly deserve our praise, they did this not because they’re mandated by the constitution to do it but because of the compassion they have for their people during this time of total lockdown.
“At a point like this, what we need to show to the world is genuine love. By showing love to ourselves, we will overcome the magnitude of these challenges.”
Ajagun encouraged other political office holders and some capable individuals who are yet to make donations or distribute relief materials towards fighting the spread of the coronavirus to do so as God will reward every penny spent to save life at this critical time.
