AGDU Announces Father of Olu of Aiyegunle Gbede, Alhaji Haruna’s Demise

The Aiyegunle Gbede Development Union (AGDU) has announced the passing of Alhaji Haruna, father of His Royal Highness, the Olu of Aiyegunle Gbede.

Alhaji Haruna died peacefully after a life of more than 100 years, according to a statement issued by the union. He was widely regarded within the community for a long and impactful life.

In the statement, AGDU said the community was submitting to the will of God following the loss, describing his passing as one accepted with “total submission” and gratitude for the years he was granted.

The union extended condolences to the Olu, the royal family, and all those mourning, and offered prayers for Alhaji Haruna’s forgiveness, his admission into Al-Jannah Firdaus, and strength for the family during this period of grief.

“May the gentle soul of Alhaji Haruna rest in perfect peace. Ameen,” the statement read.

The announcement was signed by Ahmed-Ade Fatai, National President of the Aiyegunle Gbede Development Union.
