A group, Adavi Youth Frontier (AYF), has urged residents of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, to support Alh. Eneye Muhammed Ametinego in his bid to become the chairman of the council area.
The spokesman of the group, Alh. Abdullahi Hakeem, during the group visit to Alh. Eneye in his resident at Inoziomi layout on Thursday, said that Alh. Eneye would turnaround the fortune of the council area with innovative and ingenious socio-economic programmes.
He said: “Our organisation is an amalgamation of various youth groups in Adavi local government. We decided to back the aspiration of Alh. Eneye because of his pedigree in public service and vision for the development of Adavi Local Government. Many of us can attest to his outstanding managerial prowess when he was Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Hon. Kokori Abdul and when he served as Special Adviser to former Chairman ,Okene LGA now Senator Ahmed Ogembe, hence, we decided to throw our weight behind him and we are using this forum to encourage people to support him too.”
Alhaji Eneye is a technologist but a teacher by occupation; three members of the group attested to the workaholic traits he injected into their personalities as Physics and Mathematics teacher.
Some members during the interactive visit, commended Alhaji Eneye for his continue resilience in pursuing his aspiration despite all the political persecution meted to him. You are from a reputable political home, please keep the flag flying for the opportunity will present itself.
The group commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the feats attained so far, and prays he surmount all other challenges of governance.
In his remarks during the visit, Alh. Eneye noted that the Adavi council area has the right atmosphere for economic growth and relative resources for uncommon transformation, if properly managed by a leader with ‘inner eyes’.
“If elected as the chairman of Adavi LGA, I will not disappoint you. Our council area has all it takes to attain excellence in terms of economic growth and enviable transformation; we have the right atmosphere for all these to happen and I shall strive to take the council area to a height it has never attained before.
“I also want to thank members of this group, leaders of the All Progressives Congress(APC), community and traditional rulers in Adavi.”
