The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has declared open a fresh disbursement of Cash Transfer, an initiative of the Federal Government, to 3,481 beneficiaries across 11 wards in the LGA.

The monitoring team arrived at the council secretariat on Tuesday to commence payment through the Desk Officers in charge of the disbursement.

While addressing the beneficiaries before disbursement of the money, the council chairman commended the effort of the Federal government for the relief initiatives which has helped the beneficiaries, especially the elderly ones who are vulnerable in the society to cater for themselves.

He also commended Kogi State Government for allowing the impact felt at the grassroots.

Hon. Joseph Omuya went further to caution them on coordination, adding that he has put every measure in place to make the distribution of funds easy without any hindrance as usual, and assured them to be patient as nothing would stop any of the beneficiaries from receiving their fund.

“To our mothers and fathers here present, nobody will deduct your money, all the team needs from you is your cooperation, coordinate your selves throughout the exercise, and to the young people who are representatives of their aged parents here, you’re expected to allow our parents here receive theirs first, don’t argue or drag space on the queue with them.

“It is my prayer that this fund solves some of our pressing issues,” he said.
