Like an expected rainfall, the land wetted in pleasurable pour as the people rejoiced in exhilarating splendour- for the desired one is here awaiting pulsating ascension to the throne.
Who is even Prince Abubakar Sadiq Yakubu? He is a lad baked in the clot of royalty and lived in infancy practising the ropes of kingship. He was barely an adult when he submitted himself to the dictates of palace rituals. At a time others were out in juvenile adventures, Solo, as he is fondly, called clung to the apron of his father.
It was in his many presences that many decisions were made, many compromises reached and many treaties signed. He today lives in custody of many palace precedences and history. Call him a living witness of the past you won’t be wrong, for he was a child that marked all the boundaries of his fathers. He became the Ejeh even before today.
Those who desired leadership never gets it, in the case of prince Sadiq, even while he submitted himself to the dictates of the palace, he distanced himself from the aspirations of the throne. For him, he is but a child holding forte for his father. He was a contented a palace boy, fate however had a different beat for him. The more he runs afar from the throne, the more royalty besieged him. Prince Sadiq ranks high and ingrained in the circle of power brokers in Nigeria. He is a board player in many kitchens of influences, he navigates seamlessly and enjoys boundless advantages. There is nowhere he goes and not welcome, there is no one he approaches and not listened. He is a lad with the cover of the old and young; he is baked in yesterday, today and tomorrow.
