A Banker and Administrator, Senator Nicholas Ugbane was born on 23rd December, 1953 at Egume Kogi State.

He started his early education from Local Government Education, Authority School Egume. Government Secondary School Okene. Government Secondary School, Dekina. Institute of Administration, ABU Zaria. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Sen Ugbane has spent 19 years in the banking sector started from National Manpower Board, Kano; North Brewery Ltd, Kano; First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Zaria; Supervisor, First Bank Plc, Kano; Executive Assistant, Nigeria Merchant bank Ltd, Lagos; Financial Analyst, International Merchant Bank Plc, Lagos; Senior Relief Manager, Senior Area Advances Manager, General manager’s Assistant, Union Bank; Divisional Head, Eko International bank of Nigeria; Executive Director (Operations) Lobi Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Makurdi.; Managing Director, Republic Bank Limited, Lagos, 1993- 1994 then resigned voluntary.
