The Dayo Akanmode Political Movement has congratulated the new caretaker chairman of Ijumu local government, Hon. Ibrahim Haruna, on his appointment.
Haruna, alongside 20 others, were inaugurated by Governor Yahaya Bello on Tuesday.
A statement signed by Hon. Adekanbi Gbenga, Director Strategy and Communications, Dayo Akanmode Political Movement, described Haruna’s appointment as well deserved.
He charged the new Ijumu chairman to hit the ground running and prioritize peoples’ welfare.
“While wishing you a virile and fulfilling tenure, we urge you to make the people the centre of governance, as no leader can succeed without the people.
“I have no doubt that the various testimonies of humility, hard work and team spirit I have heard about you will propel you to great accomplishments in office,” he said.
The Dayo Akanmode Political Movement assured the new council chairman of continued support.
