Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has described the immediate past Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as a bridge-builder and pathfinder.
In a statement personally signed by the Rector and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Prof. Usman celebrated the former Governor’s the remarkable attainment of golden age.
The Rector said, as one of Alhaji Bello’s most inspired devotees, he has always admired and cherished the former Governor’s zeal, boldness, doggedness, audacity and progressive leadership disposition which have uplifted the youth, women and people living with disability to a whole new status.

“Your selfless leadership styles, through which you offered a generous shoulder for us all to lean on, have become a source of strength, inspiration and a shining example for many of us.
“Worthy of note is your historic and barrier-breaking leadership strategies that have unsettled the traducers and naysayers. However, the allergy of some people to honey does not negate the fact that it is naturally sweet. In the words of Robert Greene, “Deeds Do Not Lie”. I am proud of your remarkable footprints and legacies in Kogi State, particularly as a Bridge-builder.
“I am therefore delighted and honoured with great sense of responsibility to join your numerous well wishers to celebrate and pray for your sound health, greater heights and immeasurable wisdom in the years ahead,” he added.
