Organizers of Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Essay Competition Extends Closing Date for Entries to December 16

The organizers of the 2024 edition of the Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Essay Competition, Built Environment and Building Materials (BEBM) exhibitions, has extended the closing date for entries for eligible participants from 5th to 16th December, 2024.

According to the organizers, this is to allow for more students to participate in the essay competition.

The essay competition with the topic ‘Reactivating the Ajaokuta Steel Company as a Means to Reinvigorating Nigeria Economy’ is powered by BEBM exhibition.

The organizers said the competition is its modest contribution in support of the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu’s efforts towards the revival of Ajaokuta steel company for economic prosperity of the country.

The statement added that the various MoU already signed by the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu and facilitated by the Minister of Steel Development is a testament to the seriousness and determination of the present administration to ensure that the steel plant becomes functional.

The statement added that all entries are now to be submitted within the deadline date of 16th December, 2024 as against the earlier date.

It also listed other conditions to be met.

“The essay must not be more than 300 words which must be typed in Microsoft word with double spacing and front 14 (Centaury Gothic).

“To be qualified for the entry, all participating persons must be a registered student of any Tertiary Institution in Kogi State, must have attained the age of 16 years at the time of application, adding that all entries must be endorsed by the head of Institution of the applicant(s)

“Entry should be sent via the E-mail stated below; Kogibebm@gmail.com,” the statement read.

According to the organizers, prizes to be won includes; N200,000 for the winner, N150,000 for the first runner up, N100,000 for the second runner up and consolation prizes of N10,000 each to ten participating students.
