Middle Belt Forum Lauds Governor Ododo for Sustaining Peace in Kogi State

The National President of the Middle Belt Forum, Dr. Pogu Idris, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his efforts in maintaining peace and security in Kogi State.

This praise was expressed during a courtesy visit to the Governor’s office in Lokoja on Tuesday, where Dr. Pogu, represented by his Vice, Malam Idih Waziri, presented the newly inaugurated State Executive members of the Forum.

Dr. Pogu also applauded Governor Ododo’s administration for reviving the state’s carnival, highlighting its potential to enhance cultural performance.

Speaking after the introduction of the newly inaugurated Executives, the State Chairman of the Association, Mr David Ehimoni also praised the All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration in the State, adding that the peaceful cordial relationship between the ethnic groups in Kogi State was a function the good governance brought by Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In response, the Governor represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, expressed support for the group and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to sustaining peace. He encouraged the Middle Belt Forum to unite the states in the region by speaking with one voice.

Governor Ododo also acknowledged the legacy of his predecessor, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, describing him as “God-sent” for ensuring a smooth transition .

By this, the administration of Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo has been a driving force behind Kogi State’s peaceful and cordial inter-ethnic relationships.
