  • Hails Governor Ododos democratic credentials

As the business of governance begins in Kabba/Bunu LGA, the Chairman of Kogi Forum of Special Advisers, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has advocated for immediate construction of a divisional police headquarters and electrification for Bunuland as well as construction of the Ikowa-Opa road in Kabba as a matter of urgency and emergency.

Omoluabi, who doubles as Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, made this call while delivering his goodwill message immediately after the inauguration of the Kabba-Bunu Legislative Council by the LGA Chairman, Barr Zacchaeus Dare Michael on Thursday.

He emphasized that electricity, security and good road network are pivotal to development of any society, stating that these amenities are long overdue for people of Bunuland and Ikowa-Opa areas of the LGA.

The Special Adviser said the tasks can easily be achieved if the LGA collaborates with relevant state government agencies to make this happen.

He said the campaign tour leading to the last Saturday election gave undeniable exposure of the deplorable state of infrastructure in these communities and that the campaign team made promises to the people of these areas to do something when elected.

The Special Adviser congratulated the elected Councillors and enjoined them to work in synergy with the Chairman to fast track the wheel of development of the LGA. He expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of the elected Chairman to deliver, stating that all he needs is the corporation of the legislature to make governance easier and better.

The Special Adviser commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for believing in democracy and for allowing democracy to thrive in Kogi state through the conduct of LGA elections and for his outstanding performance as the Governor
