The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Kogi State chapter, has inaugurated a three – man electoral committee.
Inaugurating the committee at a special Congress of the Union, the Chairman of the State PASAN, Comrade Salisu Ogaza enjoined them to put necessary machinery in place for a successful election.
He told them to within four weeks ensure a thorough preparation towards the conduct of election that will bring on board a new executive of the Union.
The Chairman used the occasion to brief Members of staff of the activities of the local and national bodies of the association, especially on efforts being made to see to the implementation of legislative autonomy and assured that the leadership of the association was not resting until it actualizes the goal.
Mallam Ogaza commended the efforts of the Kogi State Speaker, Rt Hon Umar Aliyu and other few Speakers who have been working tirelessly to bring about desired results on the well-being of Parliamentary Staff.
Members of the Association at the Congress expressed their concerns on the activities of the Union with optimism that a credible election would be conducted to foster the progress of the Union.
