The Caretaker Chairman of Yagba West local government area of Kogi state, Hon Tosin Olokun, along with other critical stakeholders from Egbe community have applauded the giant strides of Governor Usman Ododo.
While conducting journalists round the town on Monday for on the spot assessment of the dilapidated roads, Olokun expressed gratitude to the Governor for the commencement of Egbe township road rehabilitation.
He said the Governor’s development initiative has shown his true love for his second hometown, Egbe Community.
The Yagba West Council Area Chairman said that the people of Egbe are glowing with joy when they see the heavy duty machine and earth moving equipment that has been deployed to the site for the immediate commencement of the township roads rehabilitation.
Hon Olokun stated that the people of Egbe and the entire Yagba West local government area are highly delighted to be associated with Governor Ododo’s development strides in Kogi state within the last six months of coming into office as Kogi State Governor.
Also speaking, the paramount ruler of Egbe community, His Royal Majesty Oba Ayokunle Irukera said Governor Ododo is an adopted son of Egbe community.
“Governor Ododo is our son in Egbe land and we are for him at all times,” the monarch said.
A senior member of Egbe community traditional council, Oba Adedoyin Abolaji said Governor Ododo is a shining star and adopted son of Egbe town whose performance within six months in office has brought joy and pride to them in the community.
It could be recalled that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, at his last state executive meeting, approved the rehabilitation of some township roads within the state including the Egbe township road.
