In a bid to foster collaboration and secure sponsorship toward the successful hosting of the 2024 Igala Nations Cup Tournament, Igala Nations Ambassadors, owners of the Igala Nations Cup, has expressed its willingness to partner the Igala – Bassa Development Initiatives (IBDI).
The Ambassadors led by Mr Abubakar Kamar Olachene made this known at a courtesy visit to the Liaison office of IBDI in abuja where they were received by the Chairman, Steering Committee of IBDI, Mr Sani Idakwo Philips.
Mr Kamar who was full of praises for the several achievements of IBDI in just a short period of its formation, commended the Chairman Steering committee of IBDI for his vision towards sustainable peace and integral development in Igala – Bassa.
In his remarks, the Chairman Steering Committee, IBDI, Mr Sani Idakwo Philips assured Mr Kamar of IBDI’s committed towards the development of sports which remains a veritable tool in harnessing the potentials in young people.

“Sports has a unique power to attract, mobilize and inspire. it’s intrinsic values – teamwork, fairness, discipline, respect for the opponent and rules of the game can be harnessed in the advancement of social cohesion and peaceful coexistence. It is a powerful tool for promoting peace, tolerance and understanding by bringing people together irrespective of political affiliations and religion”.
IBDI further agreed to act as sponsors of the Igala Nations Cup scheduled to commence in August, 2024.
