Critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kogi East have congratulated Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State following his Monday tribunal victory.

In a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, the group jointly said that it was grateful to the Almighty God for the victory.

The group maintained that the enormous flow of congratulatory messages to Governor Ahmed Ododo from people within and outside the Confluence State immediately after the judgment was declared was a lucid indication of how widely acceptable the judgment was.

“We want to congratulate His Excellency, our Governor, the Leader of our great Party, the APC, on behalf of other critical stakeholders from Kogi East on his Monday’s victory at the tribunal. Indeed, power comes from God, and it is only God that determines who sits on the seat of power per time,” they said.

The group encouraged the Governor to see the tribunal victory as the lubricant to serve the good people of Kogi State with more passion and vigor.

“This victory is a clarion call to service. It is a call to serve the good people of our state with more passion and dedication. His Excellency has started on a very sound and solid footing, and it is obvious for everyone to see. We see this victory as a call to do more; to serve more and to love the people more than ever before,” they mused.

They also appealed to the governor to be magnanimous in victory by opening the party’s door to those who are willing to join from the opposition side, including members who are desirous to return back to the winning fold.

“APC is a large family. It is also a winning party. We want to appeal to His Excellency, to extend an olive leaf  to those who want to join our great Party. Victory is magnetic in nature. No one celebrates failure and defeat. Let those who want to return back to the winning fold come,” the group added

They praised the resilience of the state Deputy Governor, Elder Joel Salifu, for standing gallantly with his principal.
