Kogi-born singer and songwriter, Usman Isah, popularly known as ‘Simple Boi,’ has released an enticing song in support of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Alhaji Murtala Ajaka (Muri), ahead of the November 11 gubernatorial election.

The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, hails from Kogi East (Igala) in the Ofu local government area of the state.

Simple Boi, who hails from Ankpa in Kogi East, disclosed this via his social media handle, stating, “I do this out of love for Muri, and I don’t want Kogites to think I’m coming to take advantage.”

Furthermore, the Abuja-based singer stated, “Kogi state is our only state; we don’t have another state apart from the confluence. Therefore, we should do everything in our power to ensure Kogi State succeeds.”

Regarding the upcoming general election, he emphasized, “What we are advocating for in the upcoming election is simple: let the people’s choice prevail. We should not harm the state for the sake of public office. Elections come and go, but what about the harm and loss of lives during the polls?”

In his song, he asserts that Muri is at home in Kogi East, Kogi West, and Kogi Central. Muri is at home among Christians, Muslims, and people of other religions.

“Muri believes in a united and harmonious Kogi, consistently pledging to build a peaceful, prosperous, and united Kogi. To Muri, the minimum acceptable is a Greater and better Kogi. His passion leads us toward the Kogi of our collective dreams.”
