People of Okun land have been called upon to come out enmasse to participate in the grand Okun Walk in support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo in Isanlu on Friday.
The General Coordinator of Okun United for Ododo, Navy Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), made this known in Lokoja on Tuesday.
According to him, arrangements are in top gear to shut down Yagba land in support of the Ododo/Oyibo mandate.
Omodara, who is also the State Security Adviser, said Ododo’s governorship aspiration has continued to attract immense support and endorsements across the three senatorial districts in the state.
“That is why this political support group, Okun United for Ododo, is leaving no stone unturned in galvanizing support for the APC governorship candidate.
“We urge the people of Okun land to troop out in their numbers for the walk in Isanlu, headquarters of Yagba Federal Constituency,” he said.
He noted that the group was established by like-minded Okun persons to attract more development to the area.
He described Ododo as the candidate to beat and expressed the readiness of the group to deliver Okun land for APC.
On the position of Senator Smart Adeyemi, following the outcome of the APC primary election, Omodara urged him to forget the past and join hands with the Governor to move the party forward.
