Founder of Hajjo Support Group for Ododo, Hajiya Hamidat Onota has called on women to rally round the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November election in Kogi state, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Onota made the call in Lokoja on Tuesday when she played host to women groups who have thrown their weights behind the APC candidate.
She assured them that Ododo will build on Governor Yahaya Bello’s unprecedented legacy of women inclusion in governance.
She explained that Governor Bello has empowered women like none before him in the state, adding that across 21 local government areas in the state the Governor has lifted women into enviable positions which has promoted peace, unity and progress in communities across Kogi state.
Onota added that aside political patronage, Governor Bello has provided relief for widows and has demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges facing the state.
She solicited for their prayers and support for Ododo, insisting that the APC governorship candidate is the only one who can make the difference citizens of the state desire.
“Ododo is the man for you, for me, for our family and for the betterment of the generation to come. Let’s support, canvass, pray and vote for Ododo/Joel for peace, unity and prosperity,” she said.
