The Member Elect for Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency and immediate past Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the year 2023 June 12 celebration that commemorates the Nation’s Democracy day.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, the Federal Lawmaker elect described the June 12 democracy day celebration as a very symbolic day in the nation’s history especially for the renaissance it connotes for the labour of our heroes past.
He further called on elected officials at all levels to take a clue from the sacrifices of the nation’s previous leaders and chat a positive course and agenda for the common man stressing that the ultimate beauty of democracy is entrenching egalitarianism at all level.
The statement further commended the strategic approaches of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards governance since he assumed office as the sixteenth President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria describing them as a reincarnation of the Hope’93 vision of Late MKO Abiola.
On his part, he reassured the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State a more positive representation that will consolidate on the gains recorded in the 9th National Assembly adding that with his ranking advantage, the Constituency should expect more dividends of democracy poised to advance the socioeconomic development of the area and its people.
