Dr. Toyin Akanle has called on women, especially widows, to resist the temptation to sell their votes in the 2023 general elections.

He counseled widows to see their votes as a potent power to vote leaders that would carter for their wellbeing.

The frontline politician urged them to continue to have faith in God and avoid acts that are inimical to their spiritual, societal growth and development.

He empowered over 250 widows through his non governmental organization, Williams James Foundation to celebrate the yuletide season.

He added that the 20th anniversary of the widows empowerment will hold in April 2023.

Dr. Akanle also organized a carol service for about 300 children including orphans.
