The chairman of Ijumu local government council, Kogi state, Alhaji Taufiq Isa, has disbanded all revenue generating services in the LGA.
In a statement signed by the council chairman’s media aide, Othman Hamidu, the decision to disband revenue collectors was to halt their fraudulent activities.
“This decision is taken after investigations revealed that some revenue services are using the avenue to fraud motorists and people of the local government.
“The Council Chairman has directed that all revenue generating services are to report to the local government secretariat for proper documentation,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the disbandment takes effect immediate.
