Kogi East senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji has felicitated with Muslims across Igala/Bassa Land, Kogi state, Nigeria, and the world at large.
The senatorial candidate, through his verified social media handle, congratulated all Muslim faithful while noting that, it is a rare privilege to be alive to witness yet another year.
He called on all Muslims to imbibe the essence of the festival as it is quintessential to the cause of mankind.
Speaking further, the senatorial candidate also enjoined celebrants to adhere to the virtues of tolerance, restraints and excellent amity as grand requisites for development.
“This Eid-el-Kabir particularly calls for rededication to the cause of mankind through enhancing our humanness and life. To this end, we must imbibe the (now) rare virtues of tolerance, restraint and excellent neighbourliness without which progress would be a mirage,” he said.
According to him, progress would be a mirage without the uncommon virtues of tolerance towards one another.
He finally urged Muslims to emulate this sacrificial period as entailed in the Holy Qur’an to help better human lives.
