A group, under the aegis of Kogi Regeneration, has called on Muhammed Salihu Ohize to run for the Okene/Ogori Mangogo Federal House of Representatives seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2023.
A statement signed by the group leader, Muhammed Owuda, said their call on the Ohize was based on his father’s track records, the fact that he is a friend to all at the grassroots and one of the competent youths in the constituency.
The statement said; “We want to commend Muhammed Ohize for consistent concern and care as well as keeping in touch with the people at the grassroots to know how they are feeling. We want him to contest based on track records of his father.
“His Late father was a grassroots politician. We want him to continue to follow his father good step by being a friend of people at the grassroots.
“He cares about the people and know what the issues are, as he has been relating well with the people in the grassroots and we urge him to contest for Okene/Ogori-Magongo House of Representatives seat come 2023.
“He is also one of the competent youths that can deliver.”
Owuda described the young turk as a gentle and easygoing person, a man who has the interest of his people at heart.
“The call becomes necessary because what Okene/Ogori-Magongo federal constituents needs now is a pragmatic and realistic grassroots politician that feels the pains, yearnings and aspirations of all in the constituency.
“We need a politician that will give quality and robust representation that will ensure dividends of democracy in our constituency
”We call on members of the group to give their unflinching support to Muhammed Salihu Ohize if he decides to contest for the elected position.
“We are ready to go to the length and breadth of Okene/Ogori-Magongo federal constituency to ensure that Ohize emerges as our flag bearer in our party the APC as well as win the elections come 2023.”
They urged all their members to rally around Ohize as he has been proven to be a man of integrity and deserves the support of not only the group but the entire people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo, and Kogi state as a whole.
