Kogi United Football Club lost their last match of the season to DMD in the Nigeria National League (NNL) in Lokoja on Wednesday to officially confirm the relegation of club.
A first-half mistake from Kogi United goalkeeper Shola Sheshere gave the visitors the lead five minutes into the match through Ali Yusuf.
Kogi United FC pushed forward to level the game but due to high resistance from DMD, they could not find the back of the net.
The home team, however, got their equalizer in the 23rd minute through Eghe Osas strike in a free-kick from close range.
