The National Voluteers Monitoring Initiative on Covid-19 has vowed to drag Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to court for sabotaging Federal Government’s efforts on Covid-19.
The group made this known in a press release issued by the General Secretary, Comrade Yunusa Abubakar, in Kaduna on Saturday.
The group called on President Muhammadu Buhari to consider Governor Yahaya Bello as one the the offender of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health Protection Regulations 2021 recently signed into law. They insisted that the Governor must face the wrath of the law.
The Volunteers described Governor Bello’s utterances as disgraceful to Kogi state, Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari.
They described Governor Yahaya Bello’s claim of non-existence of covid-19 as childish, ignorant and politically selfish.
Comrade Yunusa Abubakar commended the Presidential Task Force for its efforts on mitigating the spread of corona virus in the country.
