As part of his campaign agenda, the chairmanship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has promised to expand the ever busy Okene Central market and equip it with modern toilet facilities as well as provide street lights when elected as the Executive Chairman of the Council.
Abdulrazaq stated this at his campaign office in Okene when the traders union paid him a solidarity visit.
He assured the traders that his administration will also liaise with management of Bank of Agriculture (BOA) to review their lending policies and make it more flexible and profitable for traders.

The chairmanship hopeful said the market will be more organised and expanded to suit current realities of modern markets.
Earlier in his address, president of Ebira Traders Association, Mall. Abubakar Tailor said they have come to congratulate the former council administrator on his nomination as the chairmanship candidate of the ruling party and assured him of their total support in his aspiration to clinch the coveted chairmanship seat of Okene Local Government.
“In view of your personality, humility and records of peaceful atmosphere during your tenure as the Local Government administrator, we have no doubt you will do more when elected as executive chairman of the council,” he said.
