The Galadima 1 Ankpa kingdom, Prince Yakub Yakub, has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr festivity, encouraging them to coordinate their activities towards achieving harmony, love and progress.
In his Sallah message, Prince Yakub enjoined all Muslims to look beyond spiritual uplift but focus on the lessons of the Holy month of Ramadan fasting as it relates to tolerance and peaceful co-existence.
He stressed that the lessons will be valuable if everybody assume his role in fortifying harmony and peace in Kogi state and their respective personal lives.
“As our kindred Muslim compatriots observe the Eid-ul-Fitr, which indicates the end of Ramadan, I task all Muslims to profoundly think about the lessons as instructed by the blessed month by promoting values that will inspire them profoundly and furthermore improve the state of humanity by and large.
“While we avoided nourishment and different extravagances in accordance with the commitments of the blessed month, we learnt tolerance, determination and valor as key qualities to our profound and material achievement. These lessons would further be valuable in our lives when we assume our roles in fortifying harmony and concordance in our separate communities and furthermore urge others to do same,” he said.
He enjoined all the Muslims to appeal to God for peace, unity and progress in the state, stressing that the peace and progress of the state ought not be sold on the altar of political issues.
