Fellow Kogites, the dice is cast! Judiciary had dashed the hope of a common man. And our democratic pretenders who snatched people’s mandate at gun point are celebrating in a hideout.

Guess what, they whispers yet in uncertainty and like robbers celebrating a successful bank robbery, their countenance best-fits who got something via ill means.

I saw this coming, I envisaged it, and knew it would turn out thus. Because the judiciary at the moment is a glorified crime zone which caprice is at the beck and call of the people in power. As things stand, a murderer can sue his victim and get justice. That is Nigeria’s judiciary. The justice system and its supremacy has been thrown to the dogs long ago.

Funny enough, those conniving with the court to truncate any form of democratic dominance are not people of ideas, and their forte do not inculcate democratic niceties such as regards for rule of law and due processes.

How do one describe the yearnings of several unsuspecting Kogites and who was rigged on them? The four previous year was a wasted efforts. Not even a single kilometer of road was constructed in the midst of avalanche resources. Yet, in the end Emperor won and the people lost.Well, for an apostle of luxury and ostentatious lifestyle such as Yahaya Bello, one wonders how such a young lad is so bereft of ideas. Yet, had built his tenth from where he cunningly subdue the anger of the gods and take advantage of the people’s helpless situation to enlarge his coast- their perceive youthful vision is in disguise a diversion of public funds.

Where is justice Kashim Kaigama? I guess he is smiling to the bank at the moment. Am I right? What do I believe? Well, the answer is hanging in the air. But Kogites apparently must have been sold at the court for some millions. If not, how do one describe that Kangaroo judgement in an exercise that had long been described as electoral civil war? How did Kashim affirm Bello as the winner of the November 16 power demonstration of bullets?

The international observers had for long called for annulment of the exercise amidst existing evidence of irregularities. Yet, justice Kashim found a place where he affirmed Bello’s candidature- Shame!

I have lost hope in our judiciary. And with the enablers of injustice like Kashim, Nigeria is beyond redemption. Though, I am not PDP’s fan but it’s about the people and the state at large. And where the interest of a common man cannot be protected does not fit in as society. This is what Yahaya Bello and his cohorts failed to understand. Even his rubber stamp legislators with whom undue loans could be accessed without recourse all bereft of ideas.

Having partook in a recent interactive forum organized by the state commissioner for information, I knew we are in for doom. The state government had thrown its infrastructural responsibility to day-light dreams. As we speak they are sleeping awaiting the arrival of our potential investors who would construct road, stabilize electricity and reform the social sectors.

Amidst intense security upheavals in the state- the commissioner for solid mineral said the state is now a save haven for investors. Says who? How would you describe the raging kidnapping and banditry in Kogi state. Which investors would want to risk coming to invest in the state let alone championing infrastructural responsibilities?

Abasi mbok, I am mourning my dear state.
